"NATE was founded on a simple but powerful belief: that every tenant deserves to be treated with dignity, fairness, and respect.
Too often, individuals and families face housing challenges without understanding their rights or knowing where to turn for help. I founded Neighbors Advocating for Tenant Empowerment (NATE), Inc. because I believe that education creates confidence, advocacy creates change, and empowered communities create lasting solutions.
NATE exists to educate, empower, and advocate. Our purpose is not only to respond to housing problems but to prepare future leaders who will continue this work with integrity, compassion, and courage.
I hope that every person who serves this organization remembers that our mission extends beyond housing. We are building stronger communities, developing future leaders, and creating opportunities for people to find their voices and become advocates for themselves and for others.
As Founder, I ask every Board member, officer, employee, volunteer, and community partner to protect this mission. Lead with humility. Listen with compassion. Act with integrity. Never lose sight of the people we serve.
The success of NATE will never be measured only by grants received, programs created, or meetings held. Our greatest success will always be measured by the lives we improve, the families we strengthen, and the communities we help transform.
If future generations continue this work with honesty, compassion, and dedication, then the purpose for which NATE was founded will endure long after any one individual.
